A Level

Law is designed to encourage students to understand the nature of the legal system in the UK. You will learn about the different types of law in our legal system; how laws are made and enforced and the key roles and responsibilities in the legal system. Further, you will learn the intricacies of the law of crime and the law of tort to enable them to apply their legal knowledge to case studies and scenarios.

You will gain a range of skills including: an understanding of complex areas of law; reasoning and analytical skills; solving case studies; applying legal rules to past cases, and the ability to communicate legal arguments. You will be expected to take part in class discussions, criminal mysteries and investigations, mock trials and engage in debates about many aspects of the legal system
